I got a brick wall background for our photo shoots, and we created a smoky speakeasy effect in our living room and kitchen with a smoke machine. The cigarette girl was fantastic and came with a wear-able cigarette case with candy cigarettes and chocolate cigars.

We also set up a poker/gambling room for the men to play. We took your suggestion to provide fake money for everyone to bribe with and one of the guests bribed the detective and got some info that led him down the trail to discover the killer!

We designed our own wanted posters with pictures of the actual guests which we took before the party.

I am a music and dance teacher, so I got to accompany my friend who was playing the lounge singer part and she performed “Dream a Little Dream” for the guests. I also gave a Charleston lesson to the guests. We had a silent Charlie Chaplin movie playing on the TV the entire party for another cool effect.

For food, we just did small appetizers like wings and bruschetta. We also had mini cheesecake bites…and chocolate cigars. 🙂
