Hello! I am reaching out in hopes of earning the free party offer. My fiancée and I just hosted our very first murder mystery party, “Murder at the Juice Joint,” and it was an absolute blast! I’ve always wanted to try one, and when we found your website, it seemed like the perfect opportunity. The setup was incredibly easy to follow, and everyone had a fantastic time. Growing up, I often heard my father talk about his love for these types of parties. He’s quite dramatic and intense, so we cast him as Notorious Nick — a perfect fit! He really got into character, acting as Nick even before he arrived at the house – skulking around as if to make sure the coast was clear prior to entry! It was great to see him fully immerse himself in the role.
We transformed our basement into a speakeasy, complete with a mini bar setup and plastic martini glasses to give it an authentic touch. We also used a record player to play 1920s instrumentals through its Bluetooth function, which really added to the ambiance and immersion of the night. We used many of the extras you provided but also created our own “Wanted” posters featuring mugshots of friends and family, further enhancing the immersive experience. The dynamics between the characters made the experience incredibly engaging. There was a lot of drama, especially between Molly Moll and Dina Diva — it got quite tense at times, but we broke character occasionally and shared plenty of laughs. Even after the party, I’ve received messages from guests saying how much fun they had. Some memorable moments included Molly Moll calling Dina “Douchey Dina” and Notorious Nick calling Sal “Little Nicky” as a playful jab, emphasizing that Sal wants to be like Nick, but never will be.
The evidence was laid out in a way that wasn’t obvious unless you took the time to piece it together, making it more challenging, which was appreciated! A few guests figured it out, but most were convinced the culprit was someone else. The actors really brought their A-game, making it such a thrilling experience. My fiancée even researched period-appropriate drinks, and we crafted some themed cocktails like the gin-based “Southside Fizz” and the scotch-based “Blood and Sand.” They fit perfectly with the speakeasy vibe and added a special touch to the evening.
The success of the night has inspired us to make this an annual event for my birthday. We’re currently leaning towards the Transylvania theme, given that my birthday is around Halloween, but the Trailer Park experience also sounds like a riot!
