A Knight of Murder

Setting the Scene
Medieval Murder Mystery Party
A tournament of great celebration is planned to honor the noble marriage of Baron Bartholomew to Lady Diana of Dunnsberry in the manor of Fernwood.
As a resident of the manor, you are not only invited to be there, but your attendance is required by the request of your lord.
Whether it is to see knights jousting or to partake in the ale and entertainment, your business is your own… that is until you find yourself in the middle of a murder.
With only one night to find the guilty, you will soon figure out that there is a lot more at stake, for murder in the manor is punishable by death.
Whether you are guilty or not, there will be others trying to finger you as the culprit as you try to find the real murderer, and only you can defend your innocence.
Who do you trust? Who will betray you before the night is through?
Everyone in this medieval murder mystery game is a suspect and no one is safe in this mystery of medieval madness.
Be careful in attending. Your life will depend not only on your innocence, but your ability to defend it.

This will depend on (a) the version of party you order and (b) what you/they want to do at the party.
Some murder mystery party game rules say (generally the smaller 6-8 guest and 8-12 guest versions) have the victim rise and become the investigator after their “death.”
Since the victim does not know who murdered them, they can still play along and try to guess the murderer using their previous background knowledge and their money in order to bribe and blackmail others and derive their secrets from one another.
If you have a larger version, and you have not assigned the investigator (they are generally listed as the first person to eliminate for this reason), then the victim will need to become the investigator.
If you have assigned the investigator, but have an extra role that is not already filled, the victim can become this person (if you order the 20-80 player version, this will always be an option).
If the victim wishes to do nothing, they can do that as well. Some guests really enjoy playing along “dead” and trying to figure out who killed them.
