A tournament of great celebration is planned to honor the noble marriage of Baron Bartholomew
to Lady Diana of Dunnsberry in the manor of Fernwood. As a resident of the manor,
you are not only invited to be there, but your attendance is required by the request of your lord.
Whether it is to see knights jousting or to partake in the ale and entertainment,
your business is your own... that is until you find yourself in the middle of a murder.
With only one night to find the guilty, you will soon figure out that there is a lot more at stake,
for murder in the manor is punishable by death. Whether you are guilty or not, there will
be others trying to finger you as the culprit as you try to find the real murderer, and only you
can defend your innocence. Who do you trust? Who will betray you before the night is through?
Everyone is a suspect and no one is safe in this mystery of medieval madness.
Be careful in attending. Your life will depend not only on
your innocence, but your ability to defend it.

For 20-80 guests: at least 7 or 8 male roles, 7or 8 female roles.
For 15-21 guests: 7/8-10 male roles, 7/8-11 female roles.
For 10-15 guests: 4/5-8 males, 4/5-8 female roles.
King Kyle: The ruler of this prosperous kingdom. He is well liked by everyone. It’s hard to have many enemies when the punishment of betrayal is death!
Queen Genevieve: Wife of King Kyle. She rules equally alongside her king.
Sheriff: The king’s official in Fernwood. He is in charge of collecting the taxes in the manor, which have been dwindling even though prosperity seems to be at its highest.
Sherilyn: Wife to the sheriff. Sherilyn will do anything to see her husband promoted. Especially if that means more riches and more power for her.
Lord Taylor: He runs the manor happily with Lady Gwendolyn. He is throwing the tournament in celebration of his only son’s marriage to the noble woman of his choosing.
Lady Gwendolyn: Runs the manor lands with her husband Lord Taylor. She is delighted for the tournament, it means prosperity and happiness & the marriage of her only son to another noble.
Baron Bartholomew: The son of Lord Taylor and Lady Gwendolyn. The tournament is planned in honor of his marriage to another noble on the one year anniversary of their meeting. His only regret is that he must marry for wealth and not for love.
Lady Diana of Dunnsberry: Noble woman of Dunnsberry, she arrived in Fernwood in search of a husband that she found, but at the cost of breaking up one true love.
Maid Marilyn: Lady Gwendolyn’s lady-in-waiting. Maid Marilyn is like a daughter to the lady and knows her lady will do anything for her happiness.
Sir Rufus: Sir Rufus is relatively new knight to the manor and does not have as favorable of a reputation that of Sir Cameron. He is hoping to increase his popularity with a victory over Sir Cameron in the tournament.
Sir Cameron: A gallant knight that will be entertaining and fighting for his honor in the manor tournament. Word is that if he wins, he will be asking for the favor of Maid Marilyn.
Gallant Gary: Squire to Sir Cameron. He will do anything for his knight, Sir Cameron. Gary must prove valor, loyalty and honor in order to be knighted himself.
Charlamagne: As chambermaid, she is the lowest of the servants to live in the castle. Charlamagne knows the castle in and out and has seen a lot. Her access to all the places may also be what gets her into trouble.
Poor Pearl: A peasant woman whose small earnings have grown even smaller since the sheriff has been enforcing the laws in the manor.
Joking Jerry: As the court jester, it’s his job to make everyone laugh. But at what cost does a laugh turn deadly?
Maid Medusa: She has her sights set much higher than her class would suggest. Maid Medusa hopes to be married to Sir Rufus before the year is out.
William the Watchman: As the manor watchman, he is the security for the lord and his manor lands. He is sure to be the enforcer if anyone gets out of hand at the tournament.
Maid Monica: She is the one who always caught the baron’s eye (and heart). Since the baron’s engagement has been set with another woman, some say Monica has turned rather ruthless.
Elizabeth the Elaborate: A vassal to the lord, she has some favor with the nobles. But is it enough to make Lord Taylor change his decisions concerning her daughter, or will Elizabeth have to take measures into her own hands?
Maid Victoria: Another victim of a pre-arranged marriage to a man she does not love. Is her destiny sealed or can she change it in just one night?
Wyatt Worker: As a serf, Wyatt is the lowest in the class system. That should be reason enough to commit murder.
