Tragedy on route to the Bahamas

Our "Cruising for Murder" Mystery Party was aboard the "Mystery of the Seas" cruise liner heading for the Bahamas.

As the passengers and crew arrived, they walked through a garden of tiki lights, up some steps and along a gangway lined with rope, blue cellophane paper for seawater, cardboard waves, and paper sea creatures to the sounds of ocean waves and seagulls.
They were welcomed aboard the "Mystery of the Seas" cruise liner by Captain Stubling and A.J. Service and received their first envelope.
Everyone came dressed in character and whilst waiting for "all to board", our towel boy, Buddy Call, demonstrated his creative towel folding skills creating a very cute elephant.

The next area our guests were ushered into was the 'bar' area, decorated in primary colors, with candy lifesavers, chocolate treasure coins, beach buckets, shovels, confetti, balloons, and Christmas lights. This is where we served Pina Coladas and appetizers whilst giving our guests an opportunity to visit our photo area. The game was now in full swing.

After a while, the bell rang for dinner and we were summoned to the Captain's lounge for dinner at the Captain's table.
This area was very classy, decorated in colors of silver, turquoise and white. There were candles everywhere and soft jazz music playing adding to a wonderful ambiance. Flickering white Christmas lights lined the staircase, balloons, silver hanging stars, portholes, and signage covered the area. The captain's table was stunning, covered with a white tablecloth, blue sparkly mesh runners, candles, water beads, sand, glass containers filled with shells, confetti, spray painted wooden sea creatures. The pictures show the full effect.
It was during this time when we heard a blood-curdling scream, which genuinely shocked everyone. All of us ran out to find the murder victim lying on the floor.

The characters dressed and played their parts so effectively that the murderer was never discovered - almost every person was accused of being the murderer except the actual murderer.

What a great time we had together! Looking forward to the next one :D
